Your Srina™ Green Tea is a delicate special drink, to be prepared carefully and with pleasure. It can be prepared either as a hot or iced tea, to suit your personality or mood.

For each cup of hot tea:

  • Use 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces of fresh spring water.
  • Bring water nearly to a boil. Since water temperature is crucial to the taste of your tea, we suggest under boiled water (180-190F).
  • Pour water over your tea leaves and infuse for 3-5 minutes. Take care not to infuse your tea for longer than 5 minutes, as your tea could become bitter.
  • Transfer to cup or serving teapot and enjoy.

For a cool refreshing cup of iced tea:

  • After following the steps above to create your hot Srina™ Green Tea, just add ice cubes or refrigerate after brewing.

Tea tips:

  • If you like a strong cup of tea, add extra leaves to your brew.
  • Trust your palate. Experiment with different levels of water and leaves to adjust your tea to suit your own taste.

In certain parts of China many dispose of the first infusion using it as a "rinse of the leaves". This is also good for those who want to avoid caffeine. The second cup is said to be the best tasting and naturally decaffeinated.

And of course many may prefer the good old fashion way of brewing their tea-by simply dropping the leaves in a tea cup and pouring the hot water over the leaves and letting it infuse. We suggest finding the brewing technique that works for you. Remember it's all about the wonderful effect of the tea and not the brewing method.
